Hollywood está em choque com a decisão da Sony Pictures. Sam Raimi e Tobey Maguire foram oficialmente DESPEDIDOS da série “Spiderman” a qual será… reiniciada!
Esta foi a resposta dos produtores Avi Arad e Laura Ziskin a uma gigante crise de produção em que “Spiderman 4” esteve envolvido. Sam Raimi e o estúdio não conseguiram chegar a um acordo em tornos dos vilões a usar e do tom do filme, ao ponto de a produção ser atrasada e a data de estreia do filme em 2011 cancelada (tanto que “Thor” avançou mais depressa para produção para ocupar o seu lugar).
O realizador Sam Raimi e o actor Tobey Maguire foram despedidos.
As diferentes visões entre a produtora e o realizador, acerca dos vilões, já se fizeram sentir na produção de “Spider-Man 3”. Sam Raimi não gostava de Venom mas que foi imposto pelo estúdio devido a uma enorme pressão pela base de fãs dos “comic” que adoravam a versão negra de Spidey. Isto ressentiu-se muito no produto final – “Spiderman 3” é um filme fortemente desequilibrado, com Venom a dominar o acto final mas muito mal desenvolvido.
A Sony não aguentou mais os problemas com Sam Raimi e acabou mesmo por despedir ontem o realizador de “Evil Dead” e avançar com um “reboot” da saga, o qual já estava, supostamente, planeado para após o quarto filme. A empresa está sob pressão de fazer um novo filme do Homem-Aranha, pois após a aquisição da Marvel por parte da Disney, a Sony vê-se obrigada fazer novos filmes da saga de forma a não perder os direitos sobre as adaptações cinematográficas.
O “reboot” falará, de novo, sobre a adolescência de Peter Parker e como ele se tornou Spider-Man. Em torno disto há inúmeros rumores os quais não tem interesse nem validade por isso não os vou mencionar. Uma grande parte deles, como todos os rumores de 2010 a níveis de cinema, envolvem James Cameron.

Culver City, CA (January 11, 2010) — Peter Parker is going back to high school when the next Spider-Man hits theaters in the summer of 2012. Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios announced today they are moving forward with a film based on a script by James Vanderbilt that focuses on a teenager grappling with both contemporary human problems and amazing super-human crises.
The new chapter in the Spider-Man franchise produced by Columbia, Marvel Studios and Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin, will have a new cast and filmmaking team. Spider-Man 4 was to have been released in 2011, but had not yet gone into production.
“A decade ago we set out on this journey with Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire and together we made three Spider-Man films that set a new bar for the genre. When we began, no one ever imagined that we would make history at the box-office and now we have a rare opportunity to make history once again with this franchise. Peter Parker as an ordinary young adult grappling with extraordinary powers has always been the foundation that has made this character so timeless and compelling for generations of fans. We’re very excited about the creative possibilities that come from returning to Peter’s roots and we look forward to working once again with Marvel Studios, Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin on this new beginning,” said Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

The studio will have more news about Spider-Man in 2012 in the coming weeks as it prepares for production of the film.
